The THE BAND Band will perform a Tribute to THE BAND as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of the “Music From Big Pink” Friday, June 15, 2018 at 7:30pm with doors opening at 6:00pm. THE BAND’s iconic debut album, named for the house in upstate New York where many of the songs were written, established THE BAND as one of the preeminent bands of their generation, and forged a new sound in rock and roll that would come to be known as Americana. Many of their best-known songs are on Music From Big Pink, including "The Weight," "Chest Fever," and "I Shall Be Released.” In addition, their musical partnership with Bob Dylan is on full display, including 3 Dylan-penned songs and featuring his painting on the album cover. While iconic roots rock group THE BAND may be long gone from the stage, The THE BAND Band is keeping their sound and spirit alive and well with authentic, true-to-form renditions of the legendary repertoire.
