State of Lake Winnipesaukee's Water Q...
Description
Join the Lake Winnipesaukee Association for a discussion on the State of Winnipesaukee's water quality. Has it improved or declined compared to 10, 20 years ago? What is the LWA doing to protect this precious resource and how can you help?
Don Kretchmer, limnologist, Certified Lake Manager, and local resident will talk about the trends in water quality based on 30 years worth of data collected by volunteers in the University of New Hampshire's Lay Lakes Monitoring Program. Don specializes in water quality, freshwater aquatic ecology and fisheries. His work involves aquatic ecosystem restoration and watershed management, environmental policy and natural resource assessment, and the design and implementation of lake monitoring and restoration plans.
The morning program will be held in the Great Hall, Wolfeboro Town Hall on Saturday, July 21, 9-10:30am. The public is encouraged to attend. Morning refreshments will be provided.
